Aspen & Beyond

What do you pack in your carry-on?

When I check my luggage and bring a carry-on in flight, I always pack an extra outfit in case of emergency, some travel-sized toiletries, my laptop, a good book, a cashmere throw or pashmina, an immunity shot and all my vitamins.

What is one thing in your tote/duffel that would probably surprise someone?

I always pack snacks in my tote because I do not like to eat plane food, even on long 12+ hour flights I typically forgo the meals.

Favorite hotel?

That is such a difficult question, because I have so many favorites! The ones that come to my mind first are Rambagh Palace in Jaipur, The Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur, The Little Nell in Aspen, Cheval Blanc in St. Barths and Macakizi in Bodrum.

Favorite city hotel?

Four Seasons Hotel George V in Paris.

Where was your last trip?

I just returned from trips to St. Barths and Colorado.

Best meal you had while traveling?

Noma in Copenhagen, which is continuously voted the best restaurant in the world year after year.

Any travel tips or secrets?

My best tip for people who travel often is to buy duplicates of your makeup and toiletries so you can keep your cosmetic bag packed at all times. This way, you’ll never forget something that is hard to find abroad, like your favorite mascara or face cleanser!

What are you currently reading?

I just finished re-reading The Four Agreements (I read this book by Don Miguel Ruiz every year) and am about to begin Atomic Habits by James Clear.

Where are you going next?

Hopefully Europe in July to celebrate my birthday!
